Social Secretaries: Oliver Harrison and Sophia Kerridge

Sophia Kerridge and Oliver Harrison are the Social Secretaries of Lincoln's MCR. They organise a wide range of events to help you make the most of the Oxford experience, meet and interact with new people, and unwind after studying hard. The termcard details the when, where and what of all these activities. Some events are termly or annual Lincoln traditions, such as the (in)famous Emily Carr Party and Lincoln's MCR Christmas Dinner. Other events make the most of the local Oxford environment and include getting outside in the spring and summer months, local festivals, and trips to concerts, pubs, and cinemas. From black tie dinners to backyard cricket, movie nights to pub crawls and parties, there's something for everyone!

This year the aim of the social committee is to further the use of the facilities available to us within Lincoln, including the MCR and Deep Hall, whilst also taking in more events happening locally in Oxford.

Whilst actually quite enjoying a reputation for being a grumpy and dour Yorkshireman, Ollie has found it within himself to uncover his social side for the lucky few within the Lincoln MCR. This creature, rarely seen outside of the Science area can sometimes be spotted riding his bike through muddy puddles and up steep hills, a past-time he fiercely defends as being "fun".

Sok on the other hand is not quite as grumpy, and spends her non-socializing time productively having tea breaks (or even better pub breaks) and working towards studies of the Latin American variety. Having said that, she has still found a way to get some Gasolina playing at every Emily Carr party this year... You can't say you weren't warned...
